My first Post from Bonney Lake WA!

My name is Anthony and I’m from Bonney Lake WA. Looking forward to meeting new people who engage in EAA, especially for star parties. I have a Sky Watcher Evolux62ED, Celestron AVX mount, ZWO ASI482MC Camera, Asi Air Plus with live stacking and I use no filters or flatteners. I hope to get better at this and finally, I would like to talk to people who have long focal length scopes like a 12" LX200GPS and how they manage EAA. I’m having issues with plate solving on such a long FOV (3048mm at f/10).

Clear Sky’s!

All my EAA images are done with the Asi Air Plus with some histogram stretching and no processing. 30x15sec subs.

I’m planning on buying a ZWO 533MC for the larger sensor and the no amp glow. Should also help with noise as well since I only spend 30 minutes on each target per night.

@avescio, Welcome to the group. I was reading your posts and viewing the images. I run ASIAIR + and thoroughly enjoy it. The ASI533MC Pro is what I’m shooting with and it is an exceptional camera. Have you considered a HyperStar for your SCT? I have an Edge HD8, the 533MC and HyperStar. They are an amazing combination, as the HyperStar brings my SCT from Native f10 to F2.1. Thus, allowing for much speedier imaging.
I would suggest some processing if you could manage it. Siril works pretty well for the cost (it’s free) and could make a big difference in your end result. I use Siril and am learning PixInsight. You will be very surprised at your results with a bit of work,
